On Monday November 15th, The Trumbull DTC held its monthly meeting at the home of Mary Beth and Scott Thornton to celebrate the many Democratic victories locally and around the state. Election night was charged with excitement as many close races went right down to the wire. After the dust settled, almost all seriously contested races fell to the Democratic candidates. This was a resounding victory for Connecticut Democrats - especially in a year when many Republicans across the country were swept into office amid anger over the economy and continued high unemployment. This is a testament to all the hard work our DTC members put in on the ground to push our candidates across the finish line. The committee celebrated with good food and drink and finished it off with a "Blue State" cake in the shape of Connecticut.
Evonne Klein from Women for Himes stopped by with her husband Randy to thank everyone for helping put Jim Himes over the top in the 4th District Congressional race. Anthony Musto was also on hand to celebrate his tight re-election win. The committee would like to thank Mary Beth and Scott for opening up their beautiful home and making this a special and memorable DTC meeting. |
