Trumbull Democrats on October 14th honored their esteemed former leaders in a gala dinner filled with laughs, political insights and lots of stories of the way things were.

Nine former elected officials, including four first selectmen, four town clerks and two town treasurers, representing more than 100 years of combined service to Trumbull, were honored at the event, which was held at the Tashua Knolls banquet facility.

Honorees included first selectmen Jim Butler, Paul Timpanelli, Dave Wilson and Ray Baldwin; town clerks Paul Timpanelli, Nancy Brown, Linda Lungi and Rose Lodice, and treasurers Anthony Musto and Bob Wright.

Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch, a Trumbull native, served as MC, and town committee member Tony Silber opened the event with remarks on public service.

The nine honorees have a lot to be proud of. They helped build one of the region's most prosperous towns and the four Democratic first selectmen held that office for 33 of the last 39 years.
