Town Treasurer Anthony J. Musto

Anthony Musto has worked diligently to create a monthly reporting system to ensure other town officials have access to the current asset, income, debt and expense amounts.  He has maximized the town’s investment income by directing deposits to high-yielding accounts immediately instead of through usual bank deposits. Anthony has also minimized the net bank fees paid by the town by diverting non-interest bearing “cushions” to higher yield interest accounts. Whenever possible, he has delayed making debt payments in order to maximize current earnings.

Anthony worked with the bi-partisan Capital Improvement Committee to determine the tax effect of various High School renovation options and presented their findings to the town officials. He also assisted the Board of Education with account transfers, recouping interest and minimizing bank fees.

The balances on the monthly statements prove Anthony’s ability to make wise investments and to manage the Town’s finances.
We can’t afford not to re-elect Anthony as Town Treasurer.
